Biking to the Beach in Hoi An

Truth be told, we had to seek out a second bike in order to fit the Mac Ride quill stem adapter. Our first Hoi An bike's stem was so heavily rusted, there was no danger we'd be able to shuggle off the quill stem. With bike number two, an extra piece of cardboard to slide under the seat post clamp to keep it tight, and we were off and away...to the beach!

Check out these lovely wheels. A dollar a day per bike? Yes please!

Four flat-as-a-pancake kilometers from Hoi An, we found the amazing An Bang Beach.

We loved our trekking in Sapa and had the most fantastic boat trip in Halong Bay. We finished off our time in the hectic Hanoi with joy and properly soaked up the historic Hue. But after three overnight trains, some serious bus rides, after a lot of "I spy" and being beaten by a four year old in chess over and over again, it felt really great to play in the sea and sand.

The little ones have had a few epic battles since we left Vancouver. At the beach, it was full team.

We have been learning about the importance of the turtle in Vietnam, as we spot it throughout the country's temples. Longevity for Mac, perhaps?

Hoi An, we think we're going to love our time with you.
